Jamie Gardiner, community lawyer and advocate, talks about an exhibition at Midsumma @midsumma “Never a Crime“. This photographic exhibition of portraits by Lisa White (“The Social Photographer” @the_socialphoto) explores men’s experiences of homosexual law reform, Victoria’s expungement scheme and the apology from Premier Daniel Andrews @DanielAndrewsMP.
The exhibition is free, and runs from 22 Jan 2018 to 04 Feb 2018. There’s also a special hosted conversation with Anna Brown @AnnaHRLC from the Human Rights Law Centre @RightsAgenda and some of the participants of the exhibition at 2pm on 04 Feb.
This podcast includes parts of Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews’ State apology to those unjustly convicted of homosexual acts. You can watch the apology HERE, or read a transcript HERE.
