Secular Spiritual Care

For those who tick the ‘no religion’ box, what is available in pastoral care? Joe Sehee is the director the newly formed Secular Spiritual Care Network. Joe is a humanist chaplain, offering spiritual care without formal religion. One of the aims of the program is to allow for spiritual care (e.g. emotional-existential support for people dealing with illness, trauma, transition or loss) to be made accessible to more kinds of people, particularly those who have experience shame or abuse because of religion, which includes a lot of people from the LGTBQI community.
