Refuge 2019 – Displacement

The Refuge Project at Arts House Melbourne @ArtsHouseMelb, is one example how emergency services, artists and community can come together to be prepared and collectively become more resilient. Refuge has inspired experts from Emergency Management Victoria, Australian Red Cross, SES and other emergency service providers to consider the different approaches that arts practice can contribute when preparing for disaster responses and recovery. Emily Sexton @EmSexton, Arts House Artistic Director and Faye Bendrups, Director of National SES Volunteers tell us about this unique project.
