Women In Horror Month Part 1: Ladies on the Screen that make us Shiver !

Episode #258 Tuesday 10 pm the 17th of February 2015 : In the Studio at JOY 949 The Squeamer has a special guest, NEW to the Squeam Family: Dmetri Kakmi Horror fiction writer and editor and expert on all things about Lady Likes in Horror in the movie genre! 

Dmetri : ‘Dmetri Kakmi is a writer, editor and broadcaster. His fictionalised memoir Mother Land (Giramondo 2008) was shortlisted for the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards, and was published in England and Turkey. Dmetri’s essays, reviews, criticisms, poetry and short stories are published in The Age, The Australian, Heat, Meanjin, Kill Your Darlings, Siglo, Antipodes, Cargo, Wasteland, Australian Book Review, Screaming Hyena, Metro, Screen Education, Sin, Esoteric Order of Dagon, Bloodsongs and other publications. Dmetri’s stories of the macabre appear in Australian and British anthologies such as Cthulhu: Deep Down Under, New Gothic, and the forthcoming And Then… His acclaimed ghost story ‘The Boy by the Gate’ is reprinted in Best Australian Fantasy and Horror 2013. He tutors in writing at editing at Writers Victoria and for Hobsons Bay Libraries.’
