Supanova Is one of the biggest Pop-Culture conventions held in Melbourne town on the weekend of April 14-17th 2016.

Sonja has interviews with Sean Maher ( Simon Tam from Joss Whedon’s Firefly) and Tom Taylor who were at this years Supanova. It’s a wonderful LGBTIQ chit chat with both Sean and Tom, Sean and is an out and proud gay man and actor and comics creative Tom Taylor is a advocate and ally who supports the Safe Schools project.

‘Tom Taylor is a multi-award-winning comic book writer and playwright.

Taylor is the co creator (with James Brouwer) of the Aurealis-Award winning series THE DEEP, which tells the adventures of a multiethnic family of underwater explorers who live on a submarine. Gestalt also publishes the adaptation of Taylor’s award-winning play The Example (with illustration by Colin Wilson) and ‘ROMBIES’ a zombies in ancient Rome epic – Friends, Romans, lend me your brains. Several new creator-owned books are slated for release in 2012, including BELIEVE with Emily Smith, MIDAS with Mikiko Ponczeck and THE DEEP: THE VANISHING ISLAND,the sequel to HERE BE DRAGONS.

2012 has been a busy year for Taylor. On top of the Aurealis Award for THE DEEP: HERE BE DRAGONS, He also took out the Stan Lee Excelsior Award for his Star Wars: Blood Ties series.

He killed Boba Fett in the Star Wars: Boba Fett is Dead miniseries and he is the Darth Maul: Death Sentence miniseries,which directly follows on from the events of the Clone Wars TV show. Tom also returned Rose and Thorn to the DC Universe and wrote a Batman story, with TORN creator, Nicola Scott, on art.’

On the show tonight Clayton and Sonja speak out about RACISM IN HOLLYWOOD films with Geek favourites Ghosts in the Shell and Dr Strange and how that impacts non-white fans and how backward it actually is and how demeaning it is.

The Squeamer also chats to director and writer Joseph Sims -Dennett about his genre film Observance.
