Sonja Hammer has the awesome chance to speak with Lucy Lawless, queer icon, fan favourite , Xena Warrior Princess,activist,advocate and actress in Melbourne for Oz Comic Con 2016.

Lucy talks over the phoneline with The Squeamer about being Xena and what it is like to still be recognised as the queer icon character 21 years later. She also relates her experiences playing same sex attracted roles and villainous ones too such as Countess Marburg in Salem and more recently playing the hard and driven and wicked Ruby Knowby in Ash VS Evil Dead and as Lucretia in Spartacus, see picture Below.

They chat about aging and mature roles for Women in Film and TV. Lucy also talks about the importance of Same Sex Marriage Equality (which her homeland NZ has).
