Arts, Design, Music, Performing Arts, TV & Film, Visual Arts

David and Brendan do a post-mortem of the Oscars and we find that Brendan correctly predicted 12 out of 24 winners.

Special guests today are:

  • Andy Kay, artist and JOY newsreader reports from the Sydney Rd Street Party launching the Brunswick Music Festival (1-15 March). In its 27th year, there are a huge variety of acts, from many countries, covering several music genres. Some highlights include Buffy Sainte Marie on 4 March, The Black Sorrows on 11 March and Archie Roach on 14-15 March.
  • Amanda Dunsmore, NGV’s Senior Curator for Decorative Arts talks about her background, her role at the NGV and a new exhibition called Nordic Cool (28 Feb to 31 Dec) which showcases early 20th Century Scandinavian Design including furniture, ceramics, glass and textiles. Also, on 21 March, Amanda and 2 colleagues will deliver a free 2 hour talk on this exhibition.
