Melbourne International Comedy Festival: Reeni Inosha and Claire Healy

We feature the Melbourne International Comedy Festival again in the The Cabaret Room this week:

Reeni Inosha:  Enlighten Me a Little

Through hilarious sketches and storytelling, Reeni invites you into her world of protecting her ‘happy’, and explores why she’s no longer worried about growing old and alone. She has a lifetime supply of retinol, a relationship with the Buddha and Dilmah guru, Kamahl and is a foster mum to a new puppy every month.

Reeni takes you on an unpredictable whirlwind of honest stories of being raised in contradicting worlds. Be prepared to be shocked and entertained in this one-of-a-kind high-energy show.

Claire Healy:  Truth or Claire

Claire’s favourite dinosaur is a Pterodactyl. Other favourite things include going to Aldi, her murderous goldfish Gavin, fighting the patriarchy, and cheese.

After travelling the globe performing her unique brand of whimsical, soul baring and over-sharing musical silliness, Claire is back in Melbourne to share some of her favourite songs about her favourite things with her favourite people (people who come to her shows). All songs are true. She might even ask you what your favourite dinosaur is…

Expect a 50-minute journey with a little too much information, a couple of impure thoughts and maybe even something a bit flamboyant. Truth or Claire is a musical romp of original songs, accompanied by piano, ukulele and a requisite gin (of course).
