The Safe Schools Coalition, Minus18, and the Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives recently announced the first-ever LGBTI History Month in Victoria.

The initiative will give schools across the state the opportunity to teach students about the largely invisible history of sexual and gender diverse people in Australia. CEO of Minus18 Micah Scott joined us to chat about the initiative.

We also spoke with Lauren Ingram about bisexual “privilege” and visibility to mark Bi Visibility Day, after she had an article published in the Star Observer exploring the erasure of bisexual identity, and how that can lead to bisexual people experiencing dismissal from the straight community and isolation from the queer community.
