Melbourne 4 Equality, Better Together Conference & LGBTI GLLO Officers out & about : 16th August 2017

The City of Melbourne has declared their support for Marriage Equality, with all of the Melbourne City Council unanimously endorsing a motion to continue and champion its support to make Melbourne a city of Wellbeing.

We hear from Lord Mayor Robert Doyle as he unveils a symbol of this support and why it is important.

We drop by JOYs ‘YES’ Initiative at the Australian Electoral Commission and we chat to Ayman Barbaresco from The Equality Project about their national conference in January. They are putting a call out for expressions of interest and abstracts, so if you have an idea, here is a great space to champion it.

Finally, did you see the LGBTI GLLO Victoria Police out and about on Friday night? We chat to Officer Gabby Tyack about why visibility like this is so important and what to do if you feel threatened online.

Dylan & Daniel are your hosts for The Informer
