Sport, Bias and Perception vs perspective in Marriage Equality : Journo’s Corner

In this Journo’s Corner podcast Dean Arcuri is joined by media representatives from all around the nation as Graeme Watson, Managing Editor of OUT in Perth, Silke Bader, editor of LOTL and Matthew Wade editor of Star Observer come together to look at issues and topics from the LGBTIQ medias perspective.

We are a few weeks into the postal vote so of course marriage equality will shape a lot of our conversation as we look at the hubbub surrounding Macklemore performing Same Love at the NRL Grand Final, the bias towards the NO Campaign in mainstream media and how our personal stories are really changing the narrative of the world around us.

One of the great things about talking to LGBTIQ media from around the nation is how different ever issue is perceived, not just from perspective, but from importance, it really helps to put your point of view into the bigger picture.
