The proposed bill from Senator Paterson would legalise homophobia – Australian Christians for Marriage Equality

With Senator Paterson’s ‘Protecting Religious Freedom’ bill put on the table, Dean Arcuri spoke to Pastor Brad Chilcot from Australians for Marriage Equality and ask him a very simple question, what religions really need to be protected from?

Australian Christians for Marriage Equality announced  its endorsement of the Marriage Amendment Bill prepared by Senator Dean Smith, declaring that there is no basis for any new rights to discriminate against LGBTI people.

“Let us be clear: there is no basis in either democratic principles or the practice of Christian faith for undermining marriage equality with new forms of discrimination against LGBTI people”
