Australia’s Jordan Bruno wins Mr Gay World 2018.

Former My Kitchen Rules contestant Jordan Bruno has become the first Australian to win the Mr Gay World 2018 title at the finale held in Knysna, South Africa on the weekend.

The competition inspires and empower gay men to gather in a public performance and fight for human rights. Bruno won six out of 12 possible awards, including personal interview, social responsibility, best in formal wear, public (online vote), photogenic and Face of 2018.

But the competition is about more than looks, finding and develop a future leader within the LGBTI community. Candidates are chosen according to attributes such as leadership, reliability, communication, and the ability to engage with the wider LGBTI community.

The Informer’s Dean Arcuri spoke to Mr Gay World 2018 after celebrating with fellow contestants.

Congratulations to Australia’s own Mr Gay World, Jordan Bruno.

This episode of The Informer aired on JOY 94.9 on 29th May.
