Weddings are pretty significant moments in lives, and every wedding has a photographer or two, or twenty. In 1957, two men appear to have gotten married in an apartment, a friend took some snapshots and the photos were never returned by the photo lab.

Now, producers from the Our One Story LGBT docuseries are looking to find the guys in the photos and return the pictures to them. Arion Potts joins on their quest.

Tonight’s special episode of The Informer features a look back at some of the show’s most incisive journalism.

Earlier this year Dean Arcuri spoke to lesbian mother Fiona Newton and Anne from Rainbow Fertility about the ‘social infertility’ of LBTIQ women in same-sex relationships, and the often prohibitive cost of fertility clinics when starting a family.

Chris and Robert shared their experience with gay conversion therapy, and the damage it causes to vulnerable gay people, and Tom Morgan and Dean Arcuri sat down with Senator Janet Rice to talk about how parliamentarians could legislate against this harmful practice.

This episode of The Informer was hosted by Rachel Tyler Jones and aired on July 31st, 2018.

It is important for us to listen to the experiences of survivors of this so called therapy, since marriage equality, gay conversion therapy and transgender issues have continued to move forward in Australian media, and we need to do more than just agree, we need to listen, advocate and support.
