All Love Should Be Acknowledged

David Pope

Gillian’s guest this week is the man who introduced breakfast restaurants to Melbourne, David Pope, ex-Cafe Sweethearts owner, corporate head hunter and marriage equality activist.  David discusses with Gillian going silver (hair and a swimming medal at the Cologne gay games); disappearing through a dance floor to the sound of David Bowie; opening a breakfast restaurant so he could still dance at night; switching careers; his political activism in Grade 6 (wearing his Mum’s lace culottes) and more recently with the Business for Equality working group.  The music David can’t resist dancing to includes the Village People, the Kings of Tomorrow and Frankie Knuckles
