This podcast is to commemorate International Transgender Day of Remembrance, held on the 20th of November each Year.

It is a reminder of the lives that have been taken through hate crimes, self-harm, suicide and the pressures that transgender people face on a daily basis.

We are all people, contributing to the wider community, We are sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, lovers and friends.

This podcast is presented by the entire TRANS*positions team: Kurt, Michelle, Megan, Chris on the panel and Andrea podcasting.

We are joined by a verity of very special guests, who have all been touched by the loss of someone within the transgender mommunity. It is a day to reflect on the extraordinary people that have fought for our right to exist as human beings, and campaigned for acceptance as part of the broader community.

It is both a very somber day, as well as a day to rejoice, as we ponder the incredible sacrifices that transgender people have made across the world for our community.

Please let us all take a moment to understand, we are not just transgender, we are people just like anyone else outside of our community. As any other human being, we feel.
