We’re joined by Ruby, potential recruit Andrew, and most excitedly, Senator Janet Rice! A staunch advocate for the LGBTIQAP+ communities, Janet has spoken out against discrimination and violence against different communities from within both parliament and in her personal life. Janet;s history of activism also extends to environmental causes, and is one of the few public speakers who CONSISTENTLY speaks out against discrimination and similar issues. Janet has recently come out as Bisexual, and we’re so excited to talk to her about intersectionality and advocacy!
Janet talks to us about her life experiences and some of the issues she’s had to confront, as well as exploring her relationship with her lovely wife Penny <3

How accessible is queer literature, and how much representation of Bi+ Exists in academia?

You’ve tuned into Triple Bi–Pass! This week, Ruby and Anthony are joined by Rosie Nelson, who is a queer PhD student joining us from The University of Bristol! Focusing their research on bisexuality, multi gender attraction, and non monosexuality as well as how it interacts with gender identity. Rosie talks to us about some of their research, interactions with different bisexual communities, gender presentation and expeperiences in academia, and we’d like to thank Rosie for the insightful, constructive and highly enjoyable conversation!

Women of Troy, Creative Queerness, and The Arts

Government to Community Outreach, With Ro Allen!

Welcome friends! We are here once more to bring you another edition of Triple Bi-Pass!
Flying solo this episode, Ruby takes us through some of the Bi+ news occurring right now, before being joined by a very special guest!

Ruby is joined once again by Ro Allen! Ro is Victoria’s first Gender and Sexuality Commissioner, and has over 20 years’ experience in community services, governance, social justice and LGBTI+ advocacy. Ro was the former Chair of the Victorian Adult, Community and Further Education Board and a commissioner on the Victorian Skills Commission, and we’re very lucky to be able to have such constructive discussion with her.

Ro talks to us about some exciting news and projects in the works, and we discuss some of the issues affecting LGBTIQ+ communities.

Queer Performance Art And Midsumma!

Hello and welcome! Tonight we’re speaking with some more of the incredible performers strutting their stuff at this year’s Midsumma Festival! We’ll be joined by Creatrix Tiara, and Amao Leota Lu! These two amazing creatives who will be talking about their experience as artists, the experiences that inform their respective practices.

Tiara’s work explores the boundaries of several different identities, spanning gender, sexuality, and race through magic and performance. Tiara talks to us about their musical and creative influences and experience as an artist.
Amao Leota Lu is a member of the amazing cast of Gender Euphoria, and she incorporates her Samoan heritage and culture with themes of gender expression and queer activism. She talks to us about some of the events and shows she is involved with in Midsumma, as well as giving us the scoop on Gender Euphoria, as well as the ethos behind it.

Beng and Matthew offer us an up close and personal look at this decision ‘John’ feels that he needs to make by the end of the play. Beng and Matthew also chat about their experiences of bringing themes such as love, sexuality and non-monogamy to live theatre.
