*Soviet Snow by Shona Laing. From openly bisexual Kiwi artist who has said she will never be in a sexual relationship with a man again…which seems to me makes her a lesbian, but, pfft, labels, who needs ‘em? This is from her 1988 album, South.

*Ambiguous Girl by Sweet Jayne. Featuring lesbian rocker and Melbourne star Cris Bonacci, who was the lead guitarist and gave the British band Schoolgirl their heavy sound in the 80s and early 90s…and both managed and slept with Samantha Fox. This is from their self-titled EP from 1979.

Come Back by Dresden China. 1986 track from this West German band. They formed in 1985 at the height of the German new wave era, joining Alphaville, Camouflage and others. They continued to play and record till 2012.

I’m Gonna Be Somebody by Jack Mack and the Heart Attack. From the soundtrack to the 1984 film Police Academy. The band was originally a 60s cover band formed by Max Carl Gronenthal, who penned tunes for a variety of 80s films.
