Candy Bowers is a South African woman born on Wurundjeri Country and is presenting a workshop on The Art of Decolonisation as part of the Melbourne Fringe. Candy presents the workshop along with the cast of The Fall – the story of the #RhodesMustFall movement that sought to bring down the statue of colonialist Cecil Rhodes, in protest of the white, Euro-centric cultural experience which dominated South African student life.

The entire program consists of the feature (The Fall), a Q&A after the show on Wednesday night, a listening event (Decolonising Stories) and the workshop (The Art of Decolonisation)

Jub is a Nyul Nyul/Yawuru woman from the Beagle Bay and Broome regions of the Kimberley in WA. Graduating from Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Jub spent many years as a theatre performer and is currently writing her first play, Dust. She has worked as casting director, extras casting coordinator, dramaturge and associate producer on award-winning productions including The Circuit 1 & 2, Bran Nue Dae, Mad Bastards, Satellite Boy and Jandamarra’s War. Most recently, Jub has been performing as a soprano in the world’s first Aboriginal Opera, Pecan Summer.

Joe is a proud Wiradjuri, man from southern New South Wales. Joe played in the National Rugby League for South Sydney Rabbitohs, Penrith Panthers and Canterbury Bulldogs before switching to professional Boxing in 2009. Joe is a 2x WBF World Jnr Welterweight champion and in 2014 won the WBC Asia Continental Title.  Joe recently called out Trevor Noah for his attempted humour that denigrates Aboriginal women and called on Australians to boycott his next tour OZ.

Rebecca is a proud Pangerang woman who has been recently working on the Rainbow Serpent Festival and is currently working on the Babylon Festival which is occurring on 23rd-25th Feb 2018 at Carapooee West in Victoria.

Joe is a proud Wiradjuri, 1st Nations Aboriginal man born in Cowra, raised in Wagga NSW, Australia. Joe played in the National Rugby League for South Sydney Rabbitohs, Penrith Panthers and Canterbury Bulldogs before switching Joe to professional Boxing in 2009. Joe is a 2x WBF World Jnr Welterweight champion and recently won the WBC Asia Continental Title.

Apart from being involved with professional sport for over 15 years, Joe spends his time working to inspire youth through motivational speaking workshops. He has worked with disengaged youth in primary and secondary schools, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres and gaols. Joe has also mentored both youth and adults.
