International Comedienne – Ava Vidal

Arts, Health, News & Politics, Society & Culture

It has been said that comedy is the hardest medium, that the somewhat simplest of natural behaviours, laughing….or making people laugh is a career that many think should be avoided.

Naturally funny people surround us, but sharing that humour on stage is another thing all together. We’ve all seen it – that moment a comedian dies a nasty and public death on stage…that moment of silence – the joke that bombs and the audience that doesn’t catch on…

So why be a comedian? Well why not? With a background as a prison guard and a mother of two it seems like a natural progression.

Ava Vidal draws on her own life – the absurdities, truths, and of course the difficulties in navigating the social protocols of life.
