The 2016 VAC Hypothetical – 2022: a queer odyssey

2016_midsumma-hypothetical_2022-a-queer-odyssey_fb-blockVAC’s sell-out Midsumma Hypothetical returns in 2016 and this time we time-travel 6 years into the future for 2022: a queer odyssey ….Australia once again has a female PM and she has announced a national GLBTI Rainbow Summit and Jubilee, but the political climate is heating up as sex work, boat people, PrEP, and radical activists are thrown into the mix.

The Fabulous Adam Richard moderates as a mix of media personalities, politicians, community leaders, and medical specialists tackle a range of social issues through an entertaining fictional narrative.

The 2016 panel includes:

  • Comedians Denise Scott and Tom Ballard
  • Australian Human Rights Commissioner, Tim Wilson
  • Victoria’s First Gender and Sexuality Commissioner, Rowena Allen
  • Writer and Co-founder of The Institute of Many (TIM), Nic Holas
  • Labor Candidate for Melbourne, Sophie Ismail
  • Trans Advocate and VAC Board Member, Aram Hosie
  • Assoc Professor Edwina Wright
  • Northern Territory AIDS & Hepatitis C Council Executive Director Kim Gates
  • JOY 94.9 journalist and broadcaster, Dean Beck
