World of Gay Surfing: Not as free as you’d think

Worldwide

What started as an anti-culture, fueled by free thinking, free loving …and drugs – was surely open to a full array of sexualities and sexual experiences.

In an age when there is a website for everything, why did it take until 2010 for there to be one for gay surfers?

Within this secret community, could it be that coming out is not only the best thing to happen to the surfing community, but could make you surf better?

To understand gay life in Gay Surfers, we spoke with Ian Thomson, Director of the documentary “OUT in the line-up”.
