In the shadow of the tragic shooting in Orlando Florida over the weekend, we bring you a JOY 94.9 special event – Stand With Orlando.

The worst massacre in US history is not a claim to fame the LGBTIQ community ever wanted, but is it possible that some good might come from it?

With the grief and emotion still raw in Orlando and shared around the world, we speak with;

• Terry DeCarlo from the GLBT Centre in Orlando who are providing crisis counselling and support on the ground
• Jeff Prystajko from Come Out With Pride, the organisers of Orlando Pride

Their words, although pained at times, also show a defiance and an inspirational strength that will guide Orlando’s LGBTIQ community as it recovers and reclaims their city.
