Tunisia: Into the Lion’s Den of LGBTI Life

TunisiaHistorically, the northern African country of Tunisia has not had a great track record on LGBTI rights. But a revolution and the excitement of what democracy might bring has given hope to the local LGBTI community.

Khedija Lemkecher is one of those with big dreams for her country’s future. She is a film director, producer and activist. And she is currently making a documentary called Lion’s Den, that shines a light on a hidden reality of LGBT life in Tunisia.
