World: Covid-19 Impacts Multiplied for LQBTIQ Communities

There is virtually no one in the whole world that the COVID-19 pandemic has not touched – 26 million infected, approaching 1 million deaths and the global economy thrown into disarray. But beyond the big numbers are real people trying to live through this invisible virus. And for already marginalised groups, such as LGBTIQ communities, the challenges faced are amplified.

OutRight Action International is a global LGBTIQ advocacy organisation fighting for rights at the United Nations. Tonight, we speak with Amie Bishop – a Senior Research Advisor with OutRight Action International and author of a new report, Vulnerability Amplified: The Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on LGBTIQ People.
