On this sad day we pay tribute to our own Aussie soul singer Renee Geyer.

Songwriters have a somewhat predilection for writing songs about being truthful and lying or being deceitful. However, this theme has produced some memorable songs. Perhaps the biggest classic is the Eagle’s epic Lyin’ Eyes. Other singers of note are Fleetwood Mac with Little Lies, legend Buddy Holly with the stunning True Love Ways and popular Gene Pitney realistically telling us that True Love Never Runs Smooth.
