Dr Peter Boghossian teaches Critical Thinking, Science and Pseudoscience, the Philosophy of Education, and Atheism and New Atheism at Portland State University.  He is an Affiliate Research Assistant Professor at Oregon Health Sciences University in the Department of General Internal Medicine, is a national speaker for the Center for Inquiry, a national speaker for the Secular Student Alliance, and an international speaker for the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science.

Touring the country at the invitation of the Rationalist Society of Australia, Dr Peter Boghossian joins Dean Beck on Word For Word to discuss some of the challenging topics that face our world today.   This is an hour of discourse that will challenge, engage and empower during which Peter refers to the Riddle Scale of Homophobia, exgay ideology and his new app being developed Atheos-app.com
Peter Boghossian is the author of the highly acclaimed book – A Manual for Creating Atheists, which offers the first-ever guide for talking people out of faith, through reason. Peter Boghossian draws on the tools he has developed and used for more than twenty years as a philosopher and educator to teach how to engage the faithful in conversations that will help them value reason and rationality, cast doubt on their religious beliefs, mistrust their faith, abandon superstition and irrationality, and ultimately embrace reason.
