Changing the hearts and minds of Americans is what GLAAD has been doing in the USA for 30 years.

As we continue to wait for marriage equality in Australia, GLAAD is accelerating LGBTIQ acceptance globally.

In today’s Mardi Gras edition of Word For Word, Dean Beck speaks to Ross Murray, GLAAD’s Global Director of Programs and Ray Bradford, their Entertainment Media Director of Programs.

Working with community organisations and expert not-for-profits, GLAAD utilises its media management expertise to communicate the individual stories of LGBTIQ people.

GLAAD works with all of the major TV networks in the USA and Hollywood production studios.  This collaboration ensures LGBTIQ stories be respectfully depicted on screen, helping to shatter stereotypes and promote diversity.
