A queer look at smoking.

These days smoking has an image problem, an evolution kd lang describes as “very glamorous and sophisticated in the 30s to the Antichrist in the 90s”. But smoking has a place in queer history, aiding coming out and pick up lines (e.g. Quentin Crisp), increasing sex appeal (Jack Wrangler), being the focus of a concept album (kd lang), while cigarette companies have specifically targeted certain parts of the queer community.

This soundscape takes a non-judgemental look (but still doesn’t inhale).
