Throughout life we create different personas for ourselves.
There’s the ‘work’ you, there’s the ‘you’ that your friends know and love.
There’s the way that you are with your Mother and Father.
You in a 10 year Marriage for instance, might be very different to the way you are as an impassioned lover.
The way we act and react to others is ultimately how they will perceive us.
Let me ask you…who are you being right NOW?
Sadly for many people, the only time these different aspects of our lives come are together is at their funeral.
For the first and last time, these networks of people we form throughout life come together as one – sometimes with disastrous consequences for those left behind.
Integrity and authenticity or as the kids say – “keeping it real” is the way to avoid much of life’s drama.
There are many reasons people lead a double life. And in some ways most of us do this unconsciously – it just kind of evolves.
Some times we do it consciously, pretending to be someone or something that we are not.
My guest today recently discovered for himself what it was like when his two worlds collided.
At 35, he leads a life many would envy. He travels Business Class around the world, he owns a global internet and wholesale distribution business and he is constantly surrounded by beautiful people doing what loves.
Whilst home and abroad, Shawn Loftis regularly files video reports for the USA based CNN iReport website (a viewer based video-news blog owned by media mogul Ted Turner).
