Welcome to A Touch Of Pink, your home for all that is fun and a little bit gay in the world of trash pop music. Lots of interesting tracks tonight from all my gays Fiorious (see above), Matt Alber, Ricky Masrtin and Bright Light Bright Light featured in the Slow Knights, plus other stuff from Michelle Willianms doing gospel, a couple of Donna Summer covers, a couple of never-heard-of-them-befores, finishing up with a newish track from our next favourite Romanian singer after Inna. It would have to be Alexandra Stan.

My Single Of The Week is ‘Electrified’ by Boris Blank from his album of the same name. Boris is the instrumental side of the Swiss 80’s electro band Yello. He has been putting aside mostly instrumental tracks and has now decided to release a double CD of these never before heard tracks. He has been making similar music to Giorgio Moroder for all these years and still sounds pretty amazing. Hear where Daft Punk etc got all their ideas and inspiration.

What have I seen lately?

FILM: The Imitation Game: : For those that enjoy a good British drama, this is based on a true story about the mathematician Alan Turing and how he and his co-workers cracked a German code machine and went on to help the UK speed up the end of the 2^nd World War. After which the authorities find out that he is a homosexual, convict him and eventually as a result if which he commits suicide. So, not a happy ending but a bloody good movie.

FILM: Penguins of Madagascar : Another movie for me and me Mum, we love these animated cartoons, and this is a joke a minute story of how 3 penguins stop the villainous Dr Octavius Brine from destroying the world. That’s all you really need to know, it’s fun for adults and kids, though probably more aimed at the adults.
