Welcome to A Touch Of Pink. Thank you to everyone who sms’d, emailed etc to congratulate me on my 500^th Show on air. All of us volunteer presenters don’t do this for the glory, but it is nice to know that our efforts are appreciated sometimes.

A Touch Of Pink is your home for all that is fun and a little bit gay in the world of trash pop music. Tonight we are going very rainbow flavoured with the very gay Marc Almond, ft Beth Ditto, Jimmy Somerville, Slow Knights, Sam Smith, plus a new drag Queen, Kara Zamatiq, RuPaul (see above, Covergurlz 2 CD), and the amazing punk trans woman, Jayne County (see featured image on blog summary). Plus new stuff from Mr Probz, Cheryl, (We Are) Nexus, and a soon-to-be classic anthem from David Guetta ft Emeli Sande.

My Single Of The Week is ‘Lay me down’ by Sam Smith. Well, why not? He’s a gay, and this is yet another amazing track from his album. He’s won nearly every award in the world.

What have I seen at the theatre/multiplex lately?

Film : Inherent Vice : While I enjoyed this film, it is quite long and slightly confusing. Starring Jaoquin Phoenix as a stoner P.I., he is given a job to find out about some funny business going on. Just as you think you are following the plot, it goes of in another direction. Then just as you think you are following the new plot it goes off in another direction. Are you getting the idea.? This s a film where you just relax and let the plot waft over your head. The acting is wonderful, the characters never less than interesting. And don’t expect all the loose ends to be resolved in the end.
