Show 505 / 18 April 2015
Welcome to A Touch Of Pink, your home site for a look at the fun side of modern pop. Tonight we are celebrating a few new albums from great artists including Will Young called 85% Proof, Boney M’s Diamonds 40 year Celebration album, Shayne Wards’s Mike Stock produced album Closer and Hot Chip’s Why Make Sense?
I’m also loving the new works from Conor Maynard, Lawson (see picture above) and Hot Chip. Air Supply have also come out with a surprisingly good dance track.
My Single Of The Week is ‘My heart would take you back” from the very dreamy Shayne Ward. It’s like a step back to the cheesy 80’s with lots of sloppy SAW type ballads all ripe for a remix including this tune.
Here follows tonight’s playlist. Tune in this Saturday on JOY 94.9 from 6-7pm for a bakers dozen of fab-u-lous tracks. Your host is Dick.

What have I seen at the theatre/multiplex lately?
Show : Strictly Ballroom : Opinions have been a bit mixed on this, but me and the family all loved it. It keeps all the iconic songs and scenes, and there is some great dancing. It’s very over the top but we wouldn’t expect anything else. Loved it.
Film : Dior And I : A fascinating documentary about a new manager coming into the couture fashion house with 8 weeks to prepare the new season’s fashion range. Spoiler alert, he manages to pull it off spectacularly. Obviously not a film for everyone, but if you’ve go an interest in the subject, it is a very interesting film study.
Film : The Shaun The Sheep Movie : This is a great addition to the Ardman collection of stop motion animation films. It is more of a kid’s film than some of the hipper animation features of late, but if you enjoy this type of very British films then you’ll probably be fascinated looking at how they get the action on to the screen.
Dick’s Top 5 Videos This Week
Will Young : Love Revolution (a bit odd, this one, but a great song)
Conor Maynard : Talking about
Tori Kelly : Nobody love
Lawson : Roads (great scenery and a great band)
Hot Chip : Need you now (another odd arty farty video)
That’s your lot ….. now sashay away …
