My Single Of The Week is ‘Possiblities” from Flip featuring Elou Elan. This is an uplifting pop confection with a great mix from Bimbo Jones. Flip are an electronic UK duo, and Elou Elan is a Norwegian-Danish recording artist based in Copenhagen with a sweet sweet voice. The very quirky clip was filmed in Budapest. A perfect pop tune. 5 out of 5

What have I seen at the theatre/multiplex lately?

Film : While We’re Young : From the director of Frances Ha come a wonderful study of a mid 40’s couple who become infatuated with a mid 20’s couple. The oldies seem to be trying to recapture their youth, and the film has many scenes that will resonate with baby boomers etc coming to terms with the fact they will never be hipsters again. A beautifully crafted film on so many levels.

Film : Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 : This is a very silly but very funny film if you enjoy slapstick humour. It stars a large gent, Kevin James from the TV show The King Of Queens, as a mall security officer attending a security conference in Las Vegas. He gets involved in thwarting a robbery at a large casino. That’s all you really need to know. It’s very silly and very funny. In my opinion.
