My Single Of The Week is ‘Ego” by Perth entertainer / producer / drag queen Dean Misdale. He has chosen a cover of the Skyhook’s hit from 1975. The clip is a little tacky, but what would you expect from a song about egos, Now that the song has been danced up, it is quite a catchy tune. Give the boy a break.

What have I seen at the theatre/multiplex lately?

Film : A Promise : This was a Senior’s special ACMI, it came out last year, but I must have missed it. It stars Allan Rickman as a rich industrialist who mentors a bright young man, who eventually moves in with the family and develops a strong attachment to the industrialist’s young wife. The affair is interrupted by WW1, but continues after …. An old fashioned film but if you fancy some old time romance, then you’ll enjoy this. Perfect for Mums. And the protégée, played by Richard Madden, is quite good looking. (see below)
