Show 522 / 21 November 2015
Welcome to A Touch Of Pink, your home site for a look at the fun side of modern pop.
A big mix-up tonight but lot’s of high energy and some of my favourite artists from Take That to New Order to Kylie and Sam Smith, plus some that may have fallen through the cracks such as Ace Wilder, Eric Alan (see above picture) , Boy George and Candy Apple Blue.
Note: Brendan Maclean is the featured image on this post, the picture of the guy walking on the ceiling).
My Song Of The Week is “Welcome to New York (Matt Pop’s radio mix)” by Taylor Swift. When I first heard the album this was my favourite track, and now that Matt Pop has done a remix, well, I tell you, life doesn’t get much better than this. However there is no link for this mix that I can find, but while surfing the net I found a great cover by Mikey Wax, and I have attached this below.
But there’s more … there was also a link to an uplifting song he has written to celebrate Marriage Equality called “Love Always Wins”, and I have also included his video for this below also.
Here follows tonight’s playlist. Tune in this Saturday on JOY 94.9 from 6-7pm for a bakers dozen of fab-u-lous tracks. Your host is Dick.

What have we seen this week ….
Film: Spectre: Yes, we rushed out to see the New James Bnd movie, and yes it’s probably not the best Bond ever, but the opening scene in Mexico is excellent, and you know the song is going to be good, which it is, so what more do you want? There’s chases, and baddies and bit of lovin’, so I enjoyed it. It is what it is.
Dick’s Top 6 Videos This Week
Eric Alan: My favourite sin (warning: contains very gay dancing, boxing and a cute dog)
Ace Wilder: Stupid (yay, Scandipop! with men in long kilts dancing strangely)
Brendan Maclean: Tectonic (great dancing and interesting casual wear and he’s one of our own)
Take That: Hey Boy (hardly recognised them, but a great song)
Candy Apple Blue: Let’s dance all night (just a little bit gay, and a Matt Pop remix)
That’s your lot ….. now sashay away …
