578 New and slightly used glitter and twisted pop muzik
Welcome to another hour of A Touch Of Pink, your show for tracks with a pop trash / remix flava and an emphasis on GLBTIQ content/artists.
My favourites tonight include Ross Alexander for daring to do a Right Said Fred cover, another 80’s band (Tight Fit) doing a Steps-lite comeback, Caz for keeping the 80’s alive by getting Pete Hammond to produce her new single, and Man 2 Man for getting new mixes for the 30-year anniversary of their 80’s big hit. Plus
My Song Of The Week – LeAnn Rimes has a new single out called ‘Love is love is love’, and it could easily be a marriage equality anthem, and she claims to be a big supporter of LGTBI rights, so hate the hate but love the hater. Plus she is a great singer.
Here follows tonight’s playlist. Tune in this Saturday on JOY 94.9 from 6-7pm for a whole heap (as many as we can get through) of fun tracks. Your host will be Dick.

What have we seen this week ?
Play : 1984 : Based on the Aldous Huxley classic novel, written in the 50’s, imagining a future where thoughts are controlled and resistance is futile. But there are people that try, and this play seems just as relevant today with our own versions of the thought police and the resistance, plus very imaginative production, lighting, sound and sets.
Movie : Wonder Woman : l loved this movie, there was a plot, character development and excitement. What more can you ask for, plus an amazing Amazon tribe.
Movie : King Arthur, Legend of the Sword : I wasn’t to sure what to expect, but this turned out to be a pretty good adventure movie, with some of Director Guy Ritchie’s trademarks, such as ye olden day London gangsters with cockney accents.
Movie : 20th Century Women : Another great movie, but this was not an adventure movies as such, but more a trip through the 70;s with the wonderful Annette Benning raising a teenage boy. When puberty hits her son she enlists a couple of teenage girls to help her work through his issues. The issues revolve around sex and women’s liberation, and it is alternately touching and hysterically funny, definitely worth considering.
Dick’s Top 5 Videos For This Week
Alvaro Soler : Animal (Mr Dreamy eyes)
Tight Fit : Rain (a new release … 35 years later!)
Eli Lieb : Castles (another sweet gay boy)
Blondie : Long time (still looking/sounding great)
Foor ft Karen Harding : Down (catchy dance pop)
That’s your lot ….. now sashay away …
