580 Let’s Make America Fem Again
Welcome to another hour of A Touch Of Pink, your show for tracks with a pop trash / remix flava and an emphasis on GLBTIQ content/artists.
My favourites tonight include Little Mix with Power, a great song and an ultra camp video (with bad fashion and drag queens, Zoot Woman and Kylie Minogue (‘nuff said), Rocco Bene doing a Wendy Matthews’ song, Oliver Heldens channelling Giorgio Moroder (or is that really Hiz Maj producing and co-writing?) and lastly, Peter Wilson doing a real cover of a real Giorgio Moroder song.
My Song Of The Week – Loose Wrists by Cazwell. This song is so wrong, but oh so right. Lets make American Fem again, hell yeah ! It’s got rap, dirty bass, and really bad fashion sense, or are those lacey suits gonna be big next summer ? It gets under your skin, and the song is very clever.
Here follows tonight’s playlist. Tune in this Saturday on JOY 94.9 from 6-7pm for a whole heap (as many as we can get through) of fun tracks. Your host will be Dick.

What have we seen this week ?
Movie : My Cousin Rachel : Wonderful melodrama, a British period piece, more Poldark than Wuthering Heights, with much intrigue and mental games, a battle of the sexes on the olden days. Beautiful scenery, great photography and written by Daphne Du Maurier.
Movie : Whitney Houston Documentary : Can I Be Me : Not great like the Amy Winehouse doco, but interesting nonetheless. Some great footage both on-stage and backstage from her last major would tour in 1997. Lots of interviews and opinions, but 5 years after her death does it matter? She was an amazing singer, and was she lesbian, bi? I don’t think so and I don’t really care. As she said in an interview people will remember her how they want to, and I remember her as a wonderfully talented singer.
Dick’s Top 6 Videos For This Week
Evan Westfal : Gay Pirates (new video, pirate love)
Little Mix : Power ft Stormzy (drag queens and tacky fashion)
Rocco Bene : The day you went away (Wendy Matthew cover)
Hovig : Gravity (7th Heaven mix edit)
Oliver Heldens : Ibiza 77 (Can you feel it)
SwitchTwista ft Sheena Rose : We’re done (supedrag)
That’s your lot ….. now sashay away …
