The Greatest Showman

Welcome to another hour of A Touch Of Pink, your show for tracks with a pop trash / remix flava and an emphasis on GLBTI content/artists. More great songs this week, and many with GLBT content.

My Song Of The Week is ‘This is me’ by Keala Settle from The Greatest Showman O.S.T..

This is the first song to be highlighted as the lead track from the forthcoming Hugh Jackman movie The Greatest Showman, which looks like being another amazing musical in the Baz Luhrmann OTT style. Kerala plays the bearded woman and this is a Jennifer Hudson ‘Dreamgirls’ diva performance. I can’t wait till boxing day to see it ….

What have we seen this week ?

Film : Swinging Safari :  A very un-pc film about 3 families in the 70’s living in a seaside town. Cast includes our very own Kylie as a mother who gets involved in some wife swapping, fondue parties, and other wrong things. All the kids are feral, constantly playing pranks, and the older daughter has discovered boys. You sit there alternately laughing and cringing at the antics, much like in Muriel’s Wedding. Fun for us oldies to relive all those awful things about the 70’s including the clothes, but the 70’s music they have chosen for the soundtrack is a lot of fun. Worth considering for the new years viewing.

Dick’s Top 5 Videos For This Week

Sia : Ho Ho Ho (a cute Christmas cartoon)

The Fizz : Home for the heart ft Rick Wakeman (more Christmas fun)

Black Faith Stereo (Quentin Harris & Ultra Nate) : I’m too sexy (black and white film noir)

Naughty Boy ft Joe Jonas : One chance to dance (more like an Asian travelogue, but sweet)

Rod Stewart ft DNCE : Do ya think I’m sexy (ft Nick Jonas with moustache)
