Song Of The Week: Alfie Arcuri with SAME
Obviously he was robbed from winning the Eurovision nomination, but he’s bounced back with a new single already, from a forthcoming e.p. and it’s very good, a great power ballad, and a lovely video.
Here follows tonight’s playlist. Tune in this Saturday on JOY 94.9 from 5-6 pm for a whole heap (as many as we can get through) of GLBTI tracks. Your host will be Dick.

What I’ve Seen This Week :
Film : Aladdin : It’s a Disney film of the Disney musical so you know what to expect. Not quite as good as the musical, but with film they can do a lot more with the plot, so a fun film.
Film : Rocketman : A wonderful semi-fantasy biopic of Elton John, and his rise to fame, then the sex and drugs and rock and roll, till it all comes tumbling down, then he builds himself up again. Taron Egerton is great as Elton, and he does his own singing. Great songs, and an interesting trip down memory lane for some of us.
Film : All Is True : Reimagining of the life of William Shakespeare after he stopped writing plays and went back to his wife and daughters at their country home. Interesting plot, some wonderful performances from Kenneth Branagh and Dame Judy Dench, and a gorgeous looking film. Loved it.
Show : Lazarus : Musical loosely based on Bowie’s film The Stranger Who Fell To Earth, accompanied by the music of David Bowie. A spectacular multi media affair. Wonderful performances from the cast, amazing visuals, and although the plot was a little thin and sometimes confusing, it is the sort of show you sit back and just let the talent of David Bowie flow over you. Unlikely to be re-staged anytime soon, so fans of Bowie and edgy musicals, see this now.
TOP 5 VIDEOS
Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha : Call You Mine
LSD : Heaven Can Wait (official lyric video)
