Song Of The Week: Sick of the sound from Ben Davidson. This came out a few weeks ago but it took a while for the physical copy (signed) to reach me. The original is a ballad, but I do like this Fnk’d Up version. Another of those songs that seems to make more sense in these difficult times.

Interesting Things To Do :

This week we watched a ‘National Theatre Live’ fundraiser performance on youtube of the Alan Bennett play ‘The Madness Of King George III’, starring the amazing Mark Gatiss as King George III. It was a gripping production of this fictionalised biography, watching as the actor fought mental illness during his reign, and the inability of the court to handle his condition.

I cannot stress how wonderful these productions are. We have seen many at the cinema, so it is great to still be able to watch them. We’ve also just seen A Streetcar Named Desire, starring Gillian Anderson, and This House, a brilliant study of politics in the British Houses Of Parliament. The plays change each week, and I’m looking forward to next week’s play already.
