Show 567 / 11 Feb 2017
Welcome to another hour of A Touch Of Pink, your show for tracks with a pop trash / gay / remix flavour. This week we have quite a few newish tracks, and quite a few oddities, including an new mix of Bucks Fizz’s ‘Making You Mind Up’ Eurovision entry, Limbo from Swiss eccentrics’ Yello’s new album Toy , and a new track from American drag artist Sheena Rose, a tribute to the ‘material’ one. Where else are you gonna get such an unusual yet strangely enticing selection?
My Song Of The Week is “Can’t get you out of my head’ by new male German artist Q, for two reasons: 1) I love a cover and 2) I love it when the words aren’t changed (boy, your loving is all I think about). I can’t superficially comment on his looks because there aren’t any ‘clear’ photos available, but he sounds ok.
Here follows tonight’s playlist. Tune in this Saturday on JOY 94.9 from 6-7pm for a bakers dozens of fab-u-lous tracks. Your host is Dick.

What have we seen around town this week
Show : Panti – High Heels In Low Places : AI saw the Panti film ‘The Queen Of Ireland last year, about her life, being a national treasure and the face of Ireland’s marriage equality vote, so I was excited to see her in person. She did not disappoint. She was very funny, poignant, foul mouthed etc, but most of all, entertaining.
Film : National Theatre Live – No Mans Land : Another wonderful production, this time another Harold Pinter play starring Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, as two ageing writers who meet in a pub and thereafter a power play ensues between the two men and Patrick Stewarts two male household staff. Strange stuff but another entertaining Sunday afternoon out. Worth considering for Pinter fans if they have repeat showings.
Dick’s Top 5 Videos For Valentine’s Day
John Barrowman and Daniel Boys : I know him so well
Alan Connor : Straight through the heart (special for Valentine’s Day)
Nathan Sykes : There’s only one of you (unplugged)
The Chainsmokers : Paris (lyric video)
Yello : Limbo (suitably eccentric)
That’s your lot ….. now sashay away …
