Happy 2018 Always and Merry Everything

Beth Ditto

Welcome to another hour of A Touch Of Pink, your show for tracks with a pop trash / remix flava and an emphasis on GLBTI content/artists.

Noah Slee

This week we’ve got some great newish tracks featuring a couple of girl group singers going solo, some fabulous gays (Erasure, BLX2, Italove, Noah Slee), some amazing lesbians (Samantha Fox, Beth Ditto), and a couple of oldies remixed (Need You Tonight and Celebration).

My Songs Of The Week are two charity singles, because we need to support out own.

The first is Living Without Prejudice with the song Stronger Together. Funds raised go to help LGBTI persons living in fear in Chechyna.

The second is Love Against The Machine with the song Love iIs The Only Law. Funds raised go to support The Albert Kennedy Trust, who helps LGBTI youth facing homelessness or hostile environments.

These tunes are available to purchase on i-Tunes etc. Go on, buy a copy, it’ll make you feel real good.

Here follows tonight’s playlist. Tune in this Saturday on JOY 94.9 from  6-7pm for a whole heap (as many as we can get through) of fun tracks. Your host will be Dick.

What have we seen this week ?

Film : The Greatest Showman :  I know this ‘musical’ is more like a bunch of videos with a bit of a plot linking them, but who cares. The songs are great, there’s some lovely performances, wonderful singing and dancing, and so what if it is like Moulin Rouge! I loved it.

Film : Call Me By Your Name : This gay film left me a bit perplexed. I liked the idea, a dreamy holiday romance in sultry Italian countryside, but I found it a little hard to swallow … two guys, both with crushes on each other, both with girlfriends, they part and the younger one is a bit sad, but his Father tells him it was a special relationship, one he’d have loved to have had. I really wanted to like it but ….

Dick’s Top 5 Videos For This Week

Mollie King : Hair Down (one of The Saturdays singers)

Nadine : Go to work (one of the  Girls Aloud)

Rachael O’Connor : Done with your love (bright and breezy Brit girl pop)

Beth Ditto : Oo la la (she can rock)

Jolan : Hold me like you love me (UK Voice singer)

That’s your lot ….. now sashay away …
