Welcome to A Touch Of Pink, your home for all that is fun and a little bit pink in the world of ttrash pop music. In the lead up to Chrstmas we’ll be playing a few new seasonal favourites, plus a selection of great new tracks, including the wonderful Giorgio Moroder (my idol), Erasure, Jennifer Lawrence, Visage, Maddy and Olly Murs (see above).

My Single Of The Week is ‘Go All Night’ by Gorgon City, a UK production duo featuring the amazing Jennifer Hudson on vocals. This is just a great dance belter and the Freemason’s remix is the cherry on top.

What have I seen lately?

MUSICAL : La Cage Aux Folles: Wonderful revival of the French farce musical set in a female impersonators show bar. The stars, Tod McKenney and Simon Burke were excellent and vry funny. A truly outstanding production which deserved the standing ovation that it got.

FILM : Folies Bergere: Nothing to do with the French nightclub, but a sweet story of a woman feeling unappreciated by the cattle-raising husband, goes to Paris in search of an affair with a younger man. Naturally things don’t go as planned, but it ended up just a nice rom-com.
