Welcome to A Touch Of Pink, your home site for a look at the fun side of modern pop. Tonight we’ll be playing all the songs we didn’t have time for in last week’s JOY RADIOTHON special, plus some great new tracks from Leona Lewis, Alesha Dixon, Mark Ronson and Calvin Harris (see picture above).

My Single Of The Week is “The Way We Are” from Alesha Dixon. Her career started as a singer in the girl group Mis-Teeq, then she went on with a solo career. She had 3 albums and numerous hits, but she obviously wanted more so she went on the UK Strictly Come Dancing show . She won in 2007, then went on to become a judge on the show, then quit to become a judge on Britain’s Got Talent. So it’s good to finally hear her wonderful singing voice again.

What have I seen at the theatre/multiplex lately?

FILM / SHOW : Elaine Page : 50^th Anniversary Concert : This is a filmed version of the concert performed at the Royal Albert Hall. If you don’t know, she was Andrew Lloyd Webber’s star of his earlier shos, Cats, Sunset Boulevard, Chess etc. She is showbiz legend in the UK and performed nearly two hours of her ‘hits’. She still has a great voice and stage presence and it was a treat for all her fans and my Mum.
