JOY 94.9‘s birthday falls on the same day as World AIDS Day. This is no coincidence, especially as one of the main goals of JOY in its early years was to connect the community to those people hospitalised due to the complications of AIDS.
Peter Davis was one of the founders of Straight Arrows, a group supporting heterosexual people living with HIV and AIDS.
He was also one of the presenters of Well, Well, Well, JOY’s show presented by VAC.
