Jazz Vocalist Nina Ferro joined David Moyle in-studio to chat about her career, leading a band, and putting her head into a speaker (you’ll have to listen to find out!!) Nina’s Grandmother is credited with being the first person to recognise a talent when Nina was still very young and Nina hasn’t looked back since.
Nina has returned to Melbourne following 11 years in London and one of the first things she did was record an album with long time friend and fellow musician Sonja Horbelt. The Album is Sonja’s Kennedy Snow project.
Nina is performing with Sonja on December 9 as they present the Kennedy Snow Project in this year’s Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival being held at Bennett’s Lane Jazz Club from December 4-11.
Checkout mwijf.com.au for all the festival details.
