When the eggs are on the cover of Tim Steven’s latest album! “with whom you can be who you are”
Tim Stevens visited the Bent Notes studio to chat with David Moyle about putting together his latest project – combining his traditional improvising trio with a string trio. Composing for 4-stringed instruments was something new for Tim, but surrounding himself with his orchestration books and some time he worked out what he could do with 4 strings and a bow!
The pieces on the album are named with initials of seven of his friends, people with whom he can be who he is, and the six eggs on the cover art are an image which Tim took himself to express the two trios working together as one.
Tim launches the album at St Stephens Anglican Church in Richmond on Sunday October 7 at 4pm. Tickets available from Trybooking.com/WGBA
Tim Stevens was guest of Bent Notes on Sunday September 23, 2018
