Matt’s Return to The National Jazz Awards

Matt McMahon won the National Jazz Award in 1999 playing the Piano and this year, 2021, Matt  returns to Wangaratta as the lead judge for this years awards – again the Piano.

Hear Matt recall how he felt going on-stage in 1999, and his advice to this years participants.

If you are a high-level pianist of 36 years or younger on December 31, 2021 then go to wangarattajazz.com to start your application to be on that Wangaratta Stage on October 31 this year.

The Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues is scheduled to run from Friday October 29 – Sunday October 31 this year.
