Eugene Ball chatted with David Moyle about the brand new album from his 4tet – FROM DOWN HERE.
Featuring Eugene playing Trumpet, James Macaulay – Trombone, Michael Meagher – Electric Bass and James McLean – Drums, this is the 2nd album from the 4tet, released on the Namboku Records label.
Available digitally from Bandcamp, the album has also been produced on Cassette – a format that is popular in Japan, the home of Namboku Records.
Hear Eugene talk about the influence on his music of performing for some years with the Australian Indigenous Music Theatre Group – Black Arm Band; and his criteria when selecting the musicians to be part of his 4tet.
